Catch Up Time

    Wow, I'm sorry, I haven't been keeping up with my blog for a few days and have left you guys out of the loop for a little bit.  For the majority of my time this past week I have spent it with my family and my friends.  With my family I did what every family does; we just sat around and talked and enjoyed meals together...bonding time.  Hanging out with my friends usually involves a movie at one point of the night and eating.  I did both of these with my three closest friends.  We had a girls night by first going to Chile's then going to one of their houses and watching Monsters University and The Internship.  <---- I very much recommend those movies.  Another way to have a good time with friends is to play a game.  Just yesterday my friends from volleyball got together to play some 3 vs. 3.  Ahh, fun times.  I honestly wish we did that more often, plus its great exercise.  That's pretty much what I have been up to besides the fill in hours where I was just being lazy in bed.

    To end this post I thought I would tell you that every Friday I will put up a beauty or fashion post, every Wednesday will be a Life or Food post, and when ever I get something that screams "I must blog about this" will just be put up whenever and will act as a bonus:) I f you have any questions or have any ideas of what you want me to blog about don't be shy and just ask away.

!!!Semester Tests Are Over!!!

    If you haven't reached your upper level grades in school you will not fully appreciate the moment when you finish your last tests or exams of the semester.  I have internally let out the biggest sigh ever and now can just relax and enjoy the holiday break that follows.  For those of you that haven't yet finished testing all I can say is don't stay up to late, study, and get to school early.  Then you can ask teachers some questions you may have before the test:)  If you get over stressed about test in general just take a step back and do something to take your mind off of it for a bit.  To help I have put together some interesting tumblr photos to make you laugh-out-loud.

Ideas

    So I have been pondering what to do to make my blog more interesting and getting more interactive with you who read my blog.  While thinking I came up with doing with doing a "series" of post over something.  I have a couple ideas...

• Journals-in my English class we do daily journals so I thought once a week I could pick an interesting one and post it.
• Fashion/Beauty
• Food/Life
• Questions-this would be me either doing three random questions or answering questions that you guys could send me.
• Interesting Pins-whatever I find on Pinterest that I like or think is cool.

This is what I have come up with so please please please tell me what you think of this series thing and what you would like to see.  Also, I am open for suggestions of ideas and if you have any questions don't be bashful and just ask:)

I Believe...

God didn’t make the Ten Commandments and other rules to make our life harder but easier so that we know which road and path to take in life.

Boy Bands

    WAIT!  Now don't quit reading on me because of the title.  A lot of people will say they don't like boy bands but if not some there is one song you like from a group and how can you say no to faces like this...

One Direction

One Direction is the first band I ever got into and became a fan over.  Not only does their music put a smile on my face but their antics do too.

Have you ever heard that music has its own "language" or can move people?  Well, for me, it's true.  I do not need to understand the language being spoken in music to like.  Music has feeling and if it makes feel good listening to it then it is okay in my books.  This brings me into the next bands that I like.

Super Junior

EXO

Super Junior and EXO are both KPOP groups with a staggering number of members in each.  13 for SJ and 12 for EXO.  Due to the large number of members there has to be something that all fans will like from each.

Il Volo

With the end of this blog I challenge you to listen to music from each band and if you don't love them well I guess I can't do anything about it:)  Also if you have any questions regarding any matter,serious/not serious or personal/not personal, feel free to ask.  I don't mind because I do like helping people ans thank you for reading the entire post:)

Feel Good Treatment

   At the end of Thanksgiving Break I was lucky enough to catch myself a lovely little cold.  Nothing to fancy just a stuffy nose, sore throat, a cough, and head congestion.  Add to that going back to school today, two nose bleeds, and not enough sleep I was just worn out after coming back home from soccer to do homework.  Finishing that and some mocha hot fudge coffee I decided I needed to do something to make me feel better, that being, a bath.  It might not cure me but it will make me feel better.  Mine was simple, not to fancy, just a hot bath, relaxing music (Pandora: Il Volo station), and a nice hot drink really did wonders.  So if your sick or just need to wine down down the solution of just relaxing in a bath works some magic; and if you really want to do it add bath bombs, oils, or candles to your little shin-dig.  If like me your sick than I hope you feel better and if your just stressed than BREATHE.

Black Friday Movie Reviews

    This year is the first year I went to a Black Friday event.  I didn't have any thing in mind but I wanted to see what was being offered.  My store of for great deals was Walmart but upon arriving there really wasn't as many deals as I thought but I think that thinking was my fault.  After wandering the isles I eventually made it back to the DVD/CD/Book section where they had $5.00 movies and picked up four.  I've watched all of them and thought I would share with you what I think and would also love to know what you think of the movies if you have seen them and what movies you would recommend me.

This Means War: Starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy.  Chris and Tom play two "not-so-covert" covert agents fall in love with Reese's character.  Hilarity ensues when the two agents realize they like they same person and use their agent resources to win her to one of their sides.  The actors in this movie really portray the characters well and it's not some sappy romance movie either.  There is enough antics and action to make even a guy like this movie.

Immortals: This is the Greek tale of Theseus's battle against King Hyperion.  I liked the movie but it didn't meet my expectations.  The graphics could have been a little better and I think the story line could be thickened but there is hot muscled guys and action with blood shed which makes up for it, oh! and some romance mixed in too but muscles...abs, really help:)

Footloose: Oh!!!  Bring on the Bacon, Kevin Bacon that is.  I love the story of the movie, the scenery, the clothes, the singing and dancing.  I just love to see how things were in the past.  My favorite character is played by Chris Penn and when he learns to dance is my favorite part of the movie.  This is definitely a must see in any persons point of view.

Shawshank Redemption: I don't even have words to describe how good this movie is.  If it was in Britain it would be labeled a masterpiece because that's how good it is.  After I watched this it shot up to second place on my movie list because Forest Gump is the raining champ but Shawshank is a close, close runner up.  If you haven't seen it yet you are missing out and need to watch it by any means necessary.

Every Women Needs This

    I recently journeyed into town to pick up some undergarments for a dress.  I wasn't looking for regular undergarments such as panties, bras, or a slip, I was in need of something to keep me all sucked in and toned.  When I first set out with my mom we went to JCPennys and Stage.  I think we only found short like spankx and let me tell you it was a battle to get them on.  After trying on two other ones we went to Walmart and bought a bra, slip, and pantyhose.  You might think these are the run of the mill kind but the bra is a strapless sticky bra, the slip is one that keeps you all in, and the pantyhose have a control top to do the same job.  At the end of the day I had a smooth figure, tan(ner) legs, and I fun story to tell my friends because trying on spankx is one of the funniest shopping trips ever.  These are for sure a good investment to have in your wardrobe.

Nail Ramble

    As with any color it changes with the seasons and that applies to nails as well.  I have been wanting to paint my nails black but without a base coat I was scared I would stain my nails.  Just the other day though my mom was going to the store and I ask her to pick me up a base coat and lucky me she did.  So I sit here today typing with black polish on my nails just loving it.  If you may have doubts and fears about going black because you my seem goth...don't be.  You will only look goth if you dress goth and even then it's not a bad thing; if you still have reservations about it you can always go with a dark purple or blue.  Down below is what I used to do my nails.

Lotion: this is something I just found in my mom's cabinet but if you have heard of the brand before tell me what you think.

Base Coat: Revlon Base Coat 005.

Polish: Pure Ice Black Rage.

Top Coat: Sally Hansen 100 Invisible this I usually don't use because it takes forever to dry.

Glitters: I haven't used the glitters but I thought they would make good accent nails.

Snow Ball Dress Ideas

   If you read my last post I mentioned my school holding a winter dance, Snow Ball, which its date has been set for early January.  With it coming up in at around 2 months I need to start toning up, putting some color on my skin, and most of all picking out what I will be wearing.  I have already found two pairs of shows that I love and three dresses that I feel the same about.

Let's Just Chat

    I know I haven't blogged in about around a week or more but school is school...what can a girl do???  To amend my vacation from blogging I thought I could just fill you in on what's been going on or is going to happen in the lovely world of Emily.  This week has just been bonkers with tests/homework and it's all leading up to Friday.  It is not just any Friday it is Football Friday and today my school will be hosting the first play-off game...WhoopWhoop!!!
    Besides this week my school is busy with upcoming activities that the student council, which I'm a part of, must handle.  There are two school assemblies and a winter dance.

1.         Play-Off Assembly: this will be next week depending on tonight's game outcome and I might be in a skit for it so fingers crossed.
2.         Hanging of the Greens: this assembly is a Christmas Assembly student council puts on and we will be performing "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with a few twist here and there to not bore the audience.
3.         Snow Ball: I love doing this dance.  Guys find creative ways to ask girls to be their date and it's just my faith in boys are restored.  For this your date (if you have one) picks you up and you take some pictures for the parents then head out to eat.  I like going in big date groups for dinner but after you go to the dance and just let loose.

This is pretty much a condensed version of what I will be up to and I will try not to slack on blogging to keep everyone in the loop.  Lastly, what are your plans this winter that you are looking forward to?
   

Autumn Day Look

    I have watched many a My Everyday Look/My Autumn and Winter Look or Get Ready With Me videos and I just love them. You get to see how people do their hair or make up and gather new ideas and looks for yourself.  Going off of these I put together a Autumn Day Look video to show everyone how I have been styling myself.  I haven't been doing anything big with my make up, it is intended to just look natural and highlight my features, but have have been getting the hang of styling my hair down the middle (even though in the first part of the video it doesn't look its best) either curled or straight.

Crazy Hair Day

    This week for my little sister's school was "dress up" week and Monday was CRAZY Hair Day!!!  I for one never really participated in dress up weeks at school, I know I'm a loser, but my sisters hair was just fudgin cool.

It's cool right?!?!! an perfect for a certain day that's coming up fast.  It's made with a hot bun, fuzzy black craft wires, and a clop with a giant black pom-pom with googly eyes....oh! and bobby pins.

An Outfit To Share #008

    Ellllllloooo:) As it has been starting to get a tad bit nippy outside with the changing of the seasons I have started to wear tights with my dresses.  There is one slight problem with this...I only have one pair of tights and I wore them yesterday which means I could not wear them today to church.  I have also come to realize I do not have any winter dresses that fit me any more and that will be on my mind whenever I go shopping next.  This outfit I put together would be something I would wear this winter but with the addition of tights underneath.

I Must Confess

I have just committed a girl food sin.  Today coming home after soccer practice I ate bread.....with.......butter. *Dun dun daaaaaa* I didn't just only eat two slices but more than that.  I would tell you but I don't want you to think bad of me cause it wasn't a healthy amount.  My one consolation to make me feel somewhat better about my little binge is that I have soccer everyday this week so the buttered bread shouldn't stick anywhere.  Well this was my guilty pleasure for the day and hopefully the rest of the week, but if you have a guilty pleasure you've recently indulged in I would love to know.

My Apologies

    Just a quick "i'm super sorry" to everyone since I said I would upload a video today but that didn't happen.  You see, when I was downloading the video onto YouTube to edit it I left to go see a movie with my mum.  What I didn't know is that even when downloading a video to edit on YouTube it can only be 15 minutes long and mine wasn't.  On the bright said though I did see a really good movie today, Grace Unplugged.  It has a good christian moral and story to it plus it uses no foul language making it a good family movie.

Picked These Up

Over the weekend while I was staying with my cousin I picked up a few things, not a lot just a little.  From American Eagle I purchased two Fashion scarves and from Target I bought some beauty items.  One being a Tickled Pink blush by e.l.f. and the other being an e.l.f. professional blending eye brush.  The blush is a natural pinkish blush color that is very low key.  It isn't matte but rather has a dewy shine to it that wakes you look very fresh.

A How To

    As I mentioned in my last post, I have been loving black colored pants and many a times I come across black ripped skinny that are just gorgeous.  The one problem is the price tag, but don't be discouraged because while on polyvore I found a DIY on ripped skinny by pandagirl-amanda.  I definitely want to try my handy work at it some time.

Fashion Fever

    As of lately I have had this constant insistent itch to buy clothes,shoes, makeup, etc.  I've spent the last week scrolling through clothing websites and putting the things I like into the shopping bag knowing very well my mom won't get me anything.  I think this need to go shopping is the fact that it has finally started to drop in degrees in my town.  With the drop in weather comes a new clothing season meaning I need to restock my closet with winter goods that I am currently lacking.  Some clothing items I have been loving are combat, chelsea, and cut out boots/sweaters of all kinds/well tailored coats/and black colored pants.  To further my knowledge of whats out there comment telling me your favorite winter items.

A Twisted Pony

I have noticed I haven't put up a hair tutorial in quite a long stretch of time and being inspired by my workout post I thought I would show you a pony tail (I know...another one) that is good for school and athletics afterwards.

Just Do It

    It happens every year that my beloved volleyball season ends and I am usually stuck with off season (not volleyball related).  This year though I have been tossing the idea of joining my schools soccer team or in every other country besides America…football.  Today was the first day I joined practice and I completed the most running I have ever done in a day, but I’m not dead, YEA, and will be attending tomorrow.  For others how are not sure about joining a school activity (like me) all I can say is just go for it.  In the end it will only make you a strong person.  To help you feel motivated I put together this fun work-out-get-up.

What It Should Be Like

    Today I have spent the whole day away from home with my family.  We went down to my grandparents house because later that day we would be attending my great aunt's 50th wedding anniversary.  Like when I went to my grandparents 50th I was reminded of how a marriage should be and should end up to be.  Compared to today's marriage that do not last long and the higher divorce rate.  This is the kind of relationship I hope to one day have.  To spend forever with my one true love even if by today's standards it is almost myth like that is what I want and what I hope my friends and family will have.
